Two Poems by Judy Moskowitz: "Be Careful What You Write" and "Unresolved"

Judy Moskowitz started playing piano at the age of three and became a professional jazz musician. She has performed throughout the New York City area and was part of the jazz scene in New York. Judy started writing poetry three years ago and has been published in Indiana Voice Journal, Midnight Dreamers Of The Yellow Haze, The Poet Community.com, Whispers Of The Wind, Leaves Of Ink, and Poetry Life & Times. She currently resides in Boca Raton Florida where she continues to play jazz and write poetry. They live side by side in her veins and soul.

Be Careful What You Write

It has a memory like a fingerprint on all that you touch
be careful what you leave behind in boxes stored away
it too has a memory without a soul
be careful what you think.
it can make you feel
something, everything, nothing
until it's spilling ink
be careful of the voice that can mesmerize
it too has a memory of a thousand years
like old trees
that see everything

Unresolved

Pain can be loud, blasting through soft tissue
you tell it to stop, but it won't listen
so you take pills to ease the throbbing
of exposed nerves
sometimes it takes a vacation
until it becomes homesick and moves
back inside taking you hostage
feeding heavy breathing, depression, and rage
chained to the past
from a Polaroid moment in time
finally seeking resolve
I googled his name
they all came to his funeral
I closed the computer
walked away
