Colleen Warren is a professor of English at Taylor
University in Upland, Indiana, where she teaches writing and American
literature. She is the author of
Annie Dillard and the Word Made Flesh: An Incarnational Theory of Language,
a book of literary criticism. She lives on seventeen acres of Indiana
farmland bordered by woods, in which her Thoreauean cabin is set.
