NUDE MALE WITH ECHO #61

How quickly the war
in my body
needs another place
to answer simple questions
only.  The chemicals
are changing.  The weakness
is growing strong.
I still look brutal,
but the bands
inside of me are loosening.
I could wake up tomorrow
& be only water
escaping through thin sheets
that were once so tight
they could bounce
every person that loved me
into the distance.

NUDE MALE WITH ECHO #62

I tell many stories
of my milling
vibrancy.  I found
it.  That means
it was mine to lose
& that means
I lost it painfully.

NUDE MALE WITH ECHO #63

You can push new colors
into new depths,
but those tattoos
will always overwhelm
the visitor
finding them
for the first time.
They will touch you
like art.
You will feel like an animal
the whole time.
Somewhere, in that
moment is the current
of energy that I want
to ride like lightning
into a swimming pool.
