Missing
a grey trench overcoat
hangs from a crooked steel hook
on a steep wall
the yellow paint fading
in various spots.
the dust layers
coiled like a serpent
and glinting
the curious sun
peeping through
the glass of a window
ajar
while a rogue wind sings
in the alley/corridor
but un-heard in that room.
Haze
Rains
pull a grey curtain
over half of the landscape
another lit up by the sun
in retreat
green in bloom
trees wearing their best
sky leaking
the entire place
a riot of colours
merged and dim
Earthquake Different
After a quick demolition
by the municipal corporation
an old couple retrieve bits of
rusted shanty-home
and spend nights under the stars
occupying the space tiny
between demolished pavement and
a spared tree.
Their lives uprooted/destroyed
after this earthquake of different type!
