Michael E. Strosahl was born and raised near the Mississippi in Moline, Illinois. He has written poetry since his youth, but became very active when he joined the Indiana poetry community. He has participated in poetry groups and projects around the state and at one time served as president of the Poetry Society of Indiana. Maik’s work has appeared on buses, in a museum and in several publications such as The Tipton Poetry Journal, Flying Island and the 5th Anniversary Collection from Bards Against Hunger. Heath Brougher is a poetry editor of Into the Void Magazine. He is a multiple Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net Nominee and judged "Into the Void’s" 2016 Poetry Competition and edited the anthology "Luminous Echoes," the proceeds of which will be donated to an organization which helps prevent suicide and self-harm. Debarshi Mitra is a 22-year-old poet from New Delhi, India. His debut book of poems, "Eternal Migrant," was published in May 2016 by Writers Workshop. Advaitam Speaks Literary is an international Journal of Poetics and Visual Arts. We are constantly looking for unique and experimental poetry and works of visual art from different corners of the world.

Advaitam Speaks Literary Journal publishes four issues in a year, in the months of January, April, July, and October, showcasing the best poetry and visual arts submissions received by us. We are open to submissions year-round.

We welcome submissions by poets/authors/visual artists from diverse backgrounds and literary as well as aesthetic preferences. We admire all forms of unique hybrid and experimental poetry, collaborative writings, visual and graphic outpourings – anything that aesthetics can be capable of.

Rather than passive sentimentalism, we are more interested in artistic creations which actively respond to the dynamic world around us through imaginative brilliance, symbolism, strong imagery and metaphors guiding readers to experience reality from a new perspective.

We accept both simultaneous and multiple submissions. We may consider previously published works too. Hence, we request you to inform us promptly in case your submitted work finds acceptance elsewhere or your work is previously published somewhere else. We love people who are honest and we always give them a second thought. If you wish to withdraw a part of your submission, please mail us in advance.

POETRY : You may submit up to 3 poems at a time (max. 40 lines for each poem) .

ARTWORK : You may submit up to 5 pieces of any form of visual art at a time.

We try our best to respond to the submissions at the earliest.

If your work is accepted for publication, we will ask for non-exclusive publication rights. We would also request you to grant us permission to permanently archive your work online as well as rights for publication in our anthologies in the future. All the other rights will revert to you post publication.  If your work is reprinted elsewhere in future, we request you to acknowledge its first publication here.

We read submissions throughout the year. Works submitted after the deadline given for submission to a particular issue automatically roll over for consideration for the next issue.

Duane Vorhees was born in Germantown, Ohio, near the Indiana border. He moved to nearby Farmersville when he was 10 and spent his adolescence there -- or, rather, his adolescence spent him! After high school he briefly attended "The" Ohio State University before graduating from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio with a degree in American Studies. And then, predictably enough, he left Ohio for good (or bad, of course, depending on one's preference). Meditations by Jonel Abellanosa is a beautiful book of 27 poems that seem to be written straight from the author's heart. I found the poems touching, meditative, and very much "alive" in a divinely inspired way. Many are written in the first person, which gives you a sense of the inner strength and character the poet draws upon to craft these poems.

Strong in visual imagery. Lyrical, whimsical, magical...They beckon to you from the page, then leave you reeling in a profound and quiet way. Few poets can invoke that sense of wonder and awe we long for after the book has been closed, but Jonel Abellanosa is one who can and does, whether intentional or not.

He has received 32 Pushcart nominations and 5 Best of Net nominations, sundry other awards. Newer books are Swan River Daisy, Jehrico, and The Cowboys, with 3 books being considered, and one to be published on November 1, by Pocol Press, Beside the Broken Trail.

Alice Frances Wickham is from Ireland. She has lived in London since 1987 and has been writing on and off during that period.  In 2011 Alice completed her Masters in Writing and Literary Criticism at Birkbeck in London and she has embarked on a novel, which has morphed into a perpetual saga, and Alice hopes it will end before she does. Alice is also working on a satire about the Health Industry, which is nearing completion.  She runs the popular blog, newlondonwriters.com, and her work has appeared in Edge magazine, Litro magazine, New London Writers, Paradise Press, and other outlets.
