A Bed of Earth

My time has come
I was not ready
But she does not forgive
I'm here in this cold box
I wonder if I loved enough
I can't feel the sun now
and tear drops are falling
watering thirsty soil
I feel them all crying
but I cannot hear at all;
silence is just deafening.
I have blessed peace and
tranquility within my heart.
Although my soul aches
for those I left behind,
I can feel a strong rhythm,
it is a much loved Mariachi
playing my favorite songs?
I'm singing now, so loud!
Don't be sad my loves
I'm in a wonderful place,
with roses in a bed of earth
tears and sadness are gone.

My Dear Me

Please forgive me...
for all the tears you have shed,
for all those sleepless nights
thinking of what you did wrong,
for letting them clip your wings
and steal the smile from your face.
Please forgive me...
for making you feel lonely
when I was your only hope,
for letting the sparkle in
your eyes extinguish.
I understand now that I
should love you more,
that I should not let
anyone cut your wings,
nor let anyone steal the
shimmering Moon in your eyes,
the passion that's within your heart.
My Dear Me... please forgive.
P.S. I Love You.

Cold hearts reign
In this unkind world
Empty of sensitivity
But full of criticism
Staring at a screen
Begging for a LIKE
Fake smiles; sexy poses
With a pound of makeup
Don't be afraid
Show you bare face
You are unique
One of a kind
Show this callous world
What is inside your heart
Not inside your clothes
For you are an example
To young girls who follow.
